Endless Solar Timelapse Video Generator

YouTube deleted my personal account due to the program I created uploading 4 different new videos to YouTube every single day. Each new video was about a second or two longer than the previous day's videos.

I really should have limited it to uploading only once a week or once a month. I received no warning emails from YouTube and woke up one moring to all of my personal subscriptions, likes, and watch history from many years of use, deleted and completely gone.

The latest timelapse videos will be viewable at this page sometime in the future..

Here's a post on reddit from about 8 years ago with a bit of discussion on the solar timelapse generator.

ESTVG - Endless Solar Timelapse Video Generator

Every 15 minutes we download and process a new AIA 171 or AIA 304 image of the sun from Nasa's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO).

The Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) is a NASA mission which has been observing the Sun since 2010. Launched on February 11, 2010, the observatory is part of the Living With a Star (LWS) program.

Once a day the server converts the downloaded images into a video running at 25 frames per second.

After the new video is generated, it is merged with the previous day's video.

This newly merged video was then uploaded to YouTube. (Before they deleted my personal account without warning.)
